Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a heterogeneous environment. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create, assign, and prioritize tickets for self and other technical support staff. Support requests may be received by telephone, walk up, or electronically.
  • Track support requests by creating, updating, and closing tickets in a timely fashion.
  • Administer Active Directory accounts.
  • Manage PC inventory and track hardware and software assets.
  • Provide asset reports to management.
  • Support IT approved software for desktop and laptop computers.
  • Configure machines, software, printers and network access.
  • May oversee the day to day activities of co-op students and interns
Experience: Requires no professional experience. Entry point for college graduate. Internship or Co/Op experience is highly preferred.

Education: Must have graduated within 24 months from an accredited university.  Bachelor's Degree's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar, highly preferred.

Travel: 1 - 10%

Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
